An ongoing photography project which engages with the visual qualities and characteristics of the city environment. Alex uses the artificial lights which come to life during the nigh-time hours to transform the visually definitive architectural structures into unique abstract visual experiences. Through different photographic techniques, he distorts the structure of these solid and linear characteristics into fluid painterly like forms. In doing so Alex challenges the notion that photography merely replicates what the eye can see and offers a new perceptual experience to the viewer.
